Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and found sometime to do some sewing. The only thing I did as far as sewing was cut out a dress pattern. After church yesterday, I went over to our storage unit and dug out my serger so I could get started on this dress.  As soon as I got home, I looked at my front yard and decided to mow the lawn.

Today however, I have been on the phone with the County Dept. of Public Works. I live next to an empty lot and I have been trying to contact the owner about the trees in her lot. They HUGE. They are call Albizia trees. The stomp on these trees are huge but the branches are flimsy. After that heavy rain we had, branches are just falling in our property. Since my husband is gone, I have to remove them myself and they are HEAVY! Anyway, I have been talking to a gentleman in the County and he is updating me on this issue. Eventually the County will have to come in and remove the trees IF the owner(s) do not come forward to address these issues. Here are some pictures of what the trees look like. I had to take and send these pictures to the County.

We are going to miss the shade BUT we rather have these trees gone!

My red hibiscus blossom this morning! Isn't she pretty? 8-) I am still looking for the DEEP red hibiscus.

Here is Misty! I swear she is such an old bag. She is upset because I shooed her in the house for chasing after the chicken. *sigh*

Lastly, my husband is finally coming home Thursday! YAY!!! His "honey-doo" list is almost LONG and I am anxious for him to get home to start on the list. Of course I am ready for him to come home already. Here are pictures he posted on FB of his racing! This was our boat but sold it before we moved to Hawaii. I think he does miss it. Who knows what will happen in the future. Maybe another boat for him????

Hope everyone enjoyed their Monday!
